Faster CPU will help with web browsing (e2200 is pretty slow these days) and 5450 gpu for display/playback. Something like 5450/6450 will decode h264 and costs peanuts. What you need is a faster CPU (best bet is a modded xeon e5440 goes for like 10$ off aliexpress) OR a newer dedicated GPU. You need to run the latest win7 driver in compatibility mode and it will install just fine.Īs for actual playback capability 3 series chipsets do not support 'modern' codecs like h.264,h265 vp9 etc and hence rely on software decoding. I have the same chipset still stashed somewhere. Windows 10 works just fine with this GPU.
